Amal is the first UAE national physiotherapist graduated from College of Allied Health Sciences / Kuwait University in 1989, where she worked as physiotherapist for 9 years in Dubai Health Authority. She had exposure to conditions related to Musculoskeletal and postoperative orthopedic surgeries in the in/out patients. She had worked with neurological, pulmonary, post-cardiac surgeries and neurological rehabilitation.
After completing her Master degree in Physiotherapy from Cairo University in 1998, she had been appointed as a lecturer at College of Health Sciences /University of Sharjah teaching the physiotherapy program.
She Joined Latifa Hospital at Dubai Health Authority in 2006 as In charge of Rehabilitation Section where she had exposure in pediatric rehabilitation. She got appointed later in 2013 as a Director of Dubai Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Center/ Dubai Health Authority till end of 2015 where she was in charge of establishing the center and managing its operation.
Currently, she is involved in her private practice “Mirdif Center for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation” in Dubai as a managing partner and practicing physiotherapy with special interest in treating musculoskeletal / orthopedic conditions. She completed the Orthopedic Manual Therapy Certification from the South African Physiotherapy Society and had completed many other training courses in the field of Msk Physiotherapy. In addition, Amal is the president of Emirates Physiotherapy Society where she is heavily involved in organizing professional activities. She has been elected in 2018 as a general secretary of Emirates Medical Association board.
